A: A little piece of nature in an urban enviroment.

A MiniNature Reserve is a garden​ full of locally native plants in an urban setting installed, maintained, and utilized by volunteers and community members. The goals are to:

  • beautify neglected spaces

  • create habitat for pollinators and songbirds

  • provide more equitable access to nature

  • conserve plant and animal species threatened by urbanization including endangered species

  • reignite human interdependency with nature through communal stewardship of our local ecosystem under Indigenous leadership
