What is Pan y Plantas?
Pan Y Plantas is a free workshop series on propagation of California Native Plants. We love serving coffee, fruit salad, pan dulce, and Ibarra hot chocolate (made with oat milk).
What are we doing in this workshop?
This workshop will focus on plants that require or benefit from cold moist stratification or freezing. Cherries, walnuts, evergreen lupines, sycamores, wild carrot, and our local bulb species all benefit from one or both of these types of treatments. When putting all these seeds into the freezer or fridge, it can often be a headache to remember when to take them out. This workshop will also help you learn how to keep track of everything in a propagation notebook. The plants we grow during this workshop will be used for MiniNature Reserve installations throughout the city as well as for fundraising.
What should I expect?
We will be outdoors for this event. Dress comfortably and be ready to get your hands dirty! We will have gardening materials there.
Should I bring anything?

Is this event family-friendly?
