Pan Y Plantas: Growing Milkweed

Pan Y Plantas is a free workshop series on propagation of California Native Plants. At the workshop, we serve coffee, fruit salad, pan dulce, and Oat Milk Ibarra.

This workshop will take place at Onchoshi MiniNature Reserve in Bubbling Springs Park in Port Hueneme, and will be taught by the Santa Monica Mountains Fund team.

This workshop will focus on the host plant of the monarch butterfly: milkflower aka milkweed. Milkweed is different from many other native plants in that it actually appreciates being germinated during the hotter months of the year.
