Who is MiniNature Reserve?
MiniNature Reserve 501(c)(3) is a Gen Z-led native plant conservation and community garden nursery. Our mission is to re-establish native plants in the urban environment. We do events like workshops and educational visits for our community.
Who is Friends of Campus ParkÂ
A grass roots collective of Oxnard residents and supporters have been advocating for botanical garden uses at Campus Park since 2011. Â In 2013, those efforts resulted in the City Council turning down a more active, sports complex like development in favor of adopting a stance that Campus Park must include spaces for a more quiet and passive use in the form of botanical gardens and other more relaxed, natural types of settings.
What is the age requirement for MiniNature Reserve Installations?
Participants must be at least 18 years old in order to sign a waiver.
Participants under the age of 18 are welcome with the presence of their legal guardian/parent for the duration of the event.
Not suitable for younger kids as we are working by a busy street

There are no restrooms on site.
What if there is rain forecasted?
In case of light rain, we have a limited number of rain ponchos. Heavy rain will be cancelled. You will be notified via email if you RSVP. We will also post on Instagram story.Â
